Maribel Matos, age 51, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital on March 25, 2021.

From the moment she was born on October 10, 1969, Maribel was the epitome of perseverance and strength. Throughout her life she fought health battles and faced limitations that would crush most of us, but she beat the odds and continued on to live a full, happy life.

Maribel moved into Robin's Nest in Westbrook in 2015 and instantly turned her house into a home. Her glowing smile welcomed all who came through the door, and she became known for her patience, kindness, and witty sense of humor. She was a loyal General Hospital fan, a recycling enthusiast, and always had her stuffed animal Jingles by her side.

Maribel will be greeted at heaven's gates by many departed friends, house-mates, and undoubtedly her Favorite game show host, Alex Trebek.

She is survived by her Robin's Nest family and her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to meet her. A private Burial will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook.
