Mariannina "Marion" DeMatteis Lyons, 93, of Belden Rd., Hamden, died June 29, 2013 at the Grimes Health Center after an accident at her home. She was the wife of the late Donald O. Lyons. Marion was born in New Haven, March 15, 1920, the daughter of the late Alexander and Josephine Rosiello DeMatteis and was a claims examiner for Blue Cross & Blue Sheild for 40 years retiring in 1997. She is survived by a brother, Alexander (Peggy) DeMatteis Jr. of Wallingford and nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Oreste (Harry) DeMatteis. Friends and relatives are invites to a graveside service in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Tuesday at 10 o'clock. There will be no calling hours. Peter H. Torello & Son in charge of arrangements.
