Maria Ferradino, 93 of Hamden died peacefully July 23rd at The Hospital of St. Raphael's after a brief illness. Born in Formicola, Italy daughter of the late Gaetano & Carmela DiRubba Simeone, Maria was the loving wife of the late John Ferradino. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family. Maria was a very religious person, she enjoyed attending Mass at the former St. Ann's Church, and more recently at Blessed Sacrament. She is survived by a son Anthony Ferradino of Hamden, a daughter Mary (Charles) McCowen of Madison, brothers Pasquale & Antonio Simeone, and a granddaughter Caroline Smyth. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brothers Michele, Stefano, and Domenic Simeone. Calling hours will be held Tuesday July 28th from 8 - 9:45 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery.
