Marguerite Conte Schuster, 97, of Atria Larson, Whitney Ave., Hamden, died Dec. 2, 2015, unexpectedly after a short illness, at CT Hospice, Branford. She was the widow of William Schuster. Marge was born in New Haven, May 2, 1918, daughter of the late Ernest & Michelina Verdasco Conte and had a long career with the government. In her early years she worked for the War Dept. and retired after a long career with the Dept of Psychiatry at the West Haven V.A. Hospital. She had been a resident of East Haven and Hamden and enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jayne Schuster DeRosa and her husband Dr. Thomas DeRosa of Southbury, sister of Christine York of Wallingford, Rosina "Dolly" Matarese of Hamden and the late Alphonse and James Conte and Raphael Bartozzi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday at 10:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Conn Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, Ct.
