Margaret Ardolino Russo, 92, of 135 Putman Ave., Hamden, died Dec. 15, 2010, at Conn Hospice. She was the widow of Ralph Russo. Margaret was born in New Haven, April 4 1918, the daughter of the late John and Florence Ruggiero Ardolino and was a bookkeepr at her father's business, Universal Ind. of West Haven, for 15 years and was co-administrator for the Marionette & Carlson Rest Homes of New Haven, for 20 years, prior to retirement. She was a member of the St. Ann Society of New Haven. She is survived by a daughter Mary Melillo and her life partner, Richard DeCarlo, and a sister, Edith Carbonari, all of Boca Raton, FL. a brother Edward Ardolino of East Haven, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son Ralph Russo Jr, and siblings Jessie Ponzo, Anthony, Calvin W. and Andrew Ardolino and Gilda Cerrito. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at10 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday morning from 8 to 9 o'clock.
