Margaret "Marge" Durso Guarino, 89, of Putnam Ave., Hamden, died at St. Raphael Campus on May 6, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. She was the widow of Louis Guarino. Marge was born in Hamden, June 7, 1926, the daughter of he late James and Lucy Rubino Durso and was a lifelong resident of Hamden. She was a longtime active communicant of St. Ann's Church and was a member of the St. Rita Rosary Society. She had worked as a hairdresser and in the dietary dept.  of Whitney Manor. She was a loving and caring person to all and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Louis (Elizabeth ) Guarino, Luann Cleary and Janet Guarino Higgins(Robert), all of Hamden, a brother, Jack Durso of FL , grandchildren, Leigh Cleary, Brendan, Conor and Kelsey Higgins and David and Jeffrey Guarino and 4 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by  brother James Durso. Funeral Tuesday at 10:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, and at St. Ann's Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 10:30. Memorial contributions may be made to Conn, Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, Ct.
