Margaret Ann Caruso Ruggiero, 88, of 128 Cumpstone Dr., Hamden, died April 27, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Pasquale J. Ruggiero. Margaret was born in New Haven, Jan. 14, 1924, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Luisa Ferrucci Caruso and was employd at SCSU, in the housekeeping dept., for 17 years, retiring 17 years ago. A resident of Hamden most of her life, she enjoyed cooking for her family and playing cards. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James (Deborah) Mutts of Hamden, sons, Joseph (Diane) Ruggiero of Hamden, Ronald (Lucille) Ruggiero of Cheshire and Kenneth (Gail) Ruggiero of North Haven, siblings, Marie Mason of North Haven, Gloria Nuzzi of Hamden, George Caruso of Branford, John Caruso and William Caruso, both of FL. and the late Violet Civitelli, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 A.M. in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 A.M.at the funeral home.
