Mrs. Madeline Ruggiero, 78, of Cheshire passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025 at CT Hospice. Born in Bari, Italy, daughter of the late Carmen & Jenny Russo Nocerito, Madeline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was the beloved matriarch of her family, a role she embraced with warmth and strength.  Madeline began her career as a school bus driver.  She worked her way to district manager for First Student in Hamden for more than 20 years. She cherished many friendships and memories made with co-workers. Madeline is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Anthony Ruggiero; her daughter, Michelle Corda, and son-in-law Scott; her son, Robert Ruggiero, and daughter-in-law Cheryl. She was a cherished grandmother to Anthony, Alyssa, Mia, Nicolas and Shane.  She also leaves behind her dear sisters Immaculata "Micki" Bernardo, and Raffaella Giordano. She was predeceased by her brother Freddy D'Amato. An avid animal lover, Madeline found great joy in the companionship of her dogs, Bert and Ernie. She had a passion for staying active—whether playing pickleball, exercising at the gym, or taking long walks. She also loved cruising in her Corvette. Madeline's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind. At the request of the family services will be held privately.
