Lydia Lopez, 71, of New Haven, died suddenly, Sept. 20, 2016 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Lydia was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico,Dec. 26, 1945, the daughter of Conrado and Carmen Gloria Gonzales Lopez and resided in New Haven most of her life. She is survived by her children,Wanda Martinez, Carmen Crespo, Lilian Crespo, Carmen Hernandez, William Crespo and the late Maria Hernandez and Pedro Arroyo, 24 grand children and 31 great grandchildren, sister of Yvonne Rivera Vasquez, Luis and Juan Rivera. Funeral Friday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Ferry St. at 10 o'clock. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
