Lydia Marie Zangari DeAngelo, 87,of 66 Twin Brook Rd., died suddenly at her home, March 20, 2012. She was the widow of Alfred P. DeAngelo. Lydia was born in Brooklyn, NY, Dec 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances Attard Zangari and resided in Hamden most of her life. She was a bus aide for Laidlaw Bus Co. for 15 years and was devoted to her loving grandchildren. She is surived by a daughter, Lori-Ann Orser,( Austin) of Hamden, sons, Alfred (Phyllis Cohen) DeAngelo of Wellesley, MA, Stephen DeAngelo of Queens, NY and Richard (Linda) DeAngelo of Eugene, OR, grandchildren, Allegra, Michael, Joseph and Nicholas DeAngelo, Jessica and Marissa Orser. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Vincent Zangari. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 10223 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Rita's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
