Louise Raccio, 93, formerly of North Haven died Oct. 22nd at Masonicare after a long illness. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred "Sonny" Raccio. Born in East Haven, the daughter of the late Luigi & Marie DiChello Borrelli, Louise was an active member of St. Therese Church, taught C.C.D., and was a member of the Ladies Guild. She loved cooking, playing cards, spending time at the Borrelli family farm and enjoying trips to the casino. She also enjoyed planning family summer vacations, weekend cookouts, and the annual family reunion. She loved spending the winter months in Florida with her husband and enjoyed reminiscing about their trips to Italy. Louise retired from Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Connecticut in 1991 after a 10-year career. She is survived by her son Lewis (Karen) Raccio and their son Kyle of Henderson, NV, daughters; Karen (John) Kubilus of Cheshire and their children John, Jordan, and Evan, Mary Clark of Claremont, NH and her children Jacob, Hannah, and Emily, and a host of beloved family members. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Dominic, Michael, Anthony, John, and Edward Borrelli, her sister Nancy Russo and son-in-law William Clark. Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 30th from 3 - 6 P.M. in the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H. 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends are asked to go directly to St. Therese Church, North Haven MONDAY, October 31st at 10 A.M. for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will then follow in All Saints cemetery.
