Obituary

Louis F. Ursini, 90, of Hamden, died at the West Haven Veteran Medical Center after a brief illness. He was the husband of Geraldine Fussell Marchitto. Lou was born in New Haven, Feb. 28, 1927 the son of the late William and Benedetta Beleaf Ursini. He was in the Navy at the end of WWII and joined the Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Upon discharge he worked as a plant supervisor at Hamilton Mfg. After retiring he worked for SCSU in the security division. He was a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, where he served in  the choir, Lector and as Eucharistic Minister. He was a 4th Degree member of the K of C, and Past Grand Knight  at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Beside his wife, he is survived by his children, Georgiana (Charles) Meeks, VT., Marie Montano,(John) FL.,Christine Burton, Hamden, Robert (Debbie) Ursini, TN Keith Ursini, AZ  and the late Louis F. Ursini, step children, Margaret, Richard and Susan Marchitto all of East Haven and Andrew Marchitto, TN, 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his siblings, John, Michael, Edward, Anthony, Lawrence & Richard Ursini and Carmella Polletta.  Funeral, with military honors, Monday at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden ,and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery,  North Haven. Friends may call Monday morning from 8:15 to 10:15
