Louis J. Apuzzo, 95, of 867 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, died Aug. 15, 2013 at St. Raphael Campus after a brief illness. He was the widower of Louise Criscuolo Apuzzo. Lou was born in New Haven, Oct. 6, 1918, and was a purchasing agent for Simkins Ind. prior to retiring. He then opened Custom Pallett Co., which he operated for 15 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael and Christopher, and many niecs and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Rosemary Furtak and several brothers and sisters. Funeral Saturday at 9:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Stephen's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment with full military honors, in All Saints Cemetery.
