Lorraine A. Fioretti, 93, of Hamden, peacefully passed away at home on September 20, 2023. Lorraine was born in New Haven on January 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Domenic and Concetta Graziano. Lorraine was the loving wife of the late Donald W. Fioretti, her high school sweetheart. She was a much-loved mother to Karen (Anthony) Cusano of Wallingford, Donna Fioretti of Hamden, and Paul (Sylvia) Fioretti of Hamden. She was the proud grandmother of Jackie (Wayne), Chris (Ashley), Stephen (Jillian), Nicole, Wayne, Wesley (Angelica), Brandon, and Xander, an adoring great-grandmother to Greyson, Griffin, and Wesley Jorge, and a doting dog mom to Princess. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Fioretti Jr., and her four sisters, Rose, Marie, Rita, and Lena. Lorraine graduated from Grace New Haven School of Nursing, where she was an RN in the operating room until the birth of her first child. She was an exceptional cook and baker. She loved to sing, dance, listen to music, and read. Movies and music of her era played daily in her home. Her knowledge and memory of actors, singers, and musicians, as well as her memory of her youth and the people and places of Hamden were to be marveled at. Lorraine was extremely proud of her home, her roots, the Graziano name, and her upbringing. Lorraine's warm smile and nurturing qualities will be forever missed but always remembered. Calling hours will be held TUESDAY September 26th from 8:30 - 10:30 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am in the same location. At the request of the family interment will be privately held.
