Lillian Petro Massari, 83, of 120 Exchange St. NewHaven, died July 1, 2010 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late William Massari. Lillian was born in Ansonia, March 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Jamrog Petro and resided in New Haven most of her life. She volunteered at the Fair Haven Soup Kitchen for many years and enjoyed going to the theatre at the Shubert, music, trips to Cape Cod and going to the casinos. She is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Massari of Guilford, a son, Richard (Robin) Massari of Orange, brother in laws, Edward Massari of Hamden and James Massari of Seymour and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister Mary Benedetti-Swan. Funeral Wednesday at 8:45 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Avew., Hamden and at St. Joseph's Church at 9:30. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Conn.
