Laura E. DeMAio, 49. of Springhill. FL., formerly of Hamden and West Haven, went home to heaven to be with her mother, Margo DeMaio. She died in H.P.H. Hospice, Brookville, FL., Dec. 8, 2011. Laura was born in New Haven, June 11, 1962, and resided in Florida the last 15 years. She was very proud of her 15 years of sobriety. She is survived by a daughter, Andrea L. Baughn of York, SC., a son Jonathan A. Burke of Springhill, FL. a sister Alison M. DeMaio of Hamden, a brother, Kenneth J. (Kathleen ) DeMaio of Milford, many nieces and nephews, best friend Andrea Haiss of FL. and her cat CarrieAnn. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 A.M. in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden, Friends may call Friday morning from 9 to 11 A.M.
