Kathryn Bonaminio Macaione, 75, of 450 Main St., Hamden, died October 29, 2012, at Yale-New Haven, St. Raphael Campus, after a very brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Robert F. Macaione. Kathryn was the Director of Student Health Services for Quinnipiac University, where she had been for the last 43 years. She was born in Woodbridge, May 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Frank and Susie Signore Bonaminio and resided in Hamden most of her life. She received her nursing degree at Univ. of Bridgeport and was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church, serving on the Parish Council and as a Eucharistic Minister. She was selected for membership as a communitry leader, in Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She enjoyed cooking for her famly, gardening and traveling with her husband. She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Patrick (Ann) Wellspeak of Cheshire, a son Robert (Nancy) Macaione Jr., of Portland, CT., step daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Pam) Chappell of Franklin, brothers, Vincent (Paula) Bonaminio of Bakersville, NC and William (Roberta) Bonaminio of Cheshire and 4 grandchildren, Andrew & Thomas Wellspeak and Ryan & John Chappell. Funeral Saturday at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 o'clock. Entombment in the Garden Mausoleum in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 3 to 8 P.M.
