Kathleen "Kay" A Leary, 87 of Old Saybrook, died peacefully Jan. 20th at Middlesex Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in New Haven, the daughter of the late Edward J Leary, Sr and Helen Ann (Hebert) Leary, Kay worked for many years as a clerk for the telephone company. She carried forward her mother's love of arts & crafts and was always crocheting or knitting. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs.  Holly will miss Kay who reunites with Fritz, Timmy, Tiffany, and Tinkerbell. She was predeceased by her brother Edward Leary, Jr and her sister Mary Davies. Her nieces, nephews, and friends will greatly miss her and her lovely sense of humor. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Friday Feb. 2nd at 11:30 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell ave., Hamden CT. Calling hours will be held from 10:30 until the service. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
