Katherine Richo DeStefano, 75, of Port Richey, FL. died Dec. 15, 2012, in Hamden, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family. " Sis" was born in New Haven, Dec. 12, 1938, the daughter of Catherine Wiley Richo, of Hamden and the late Anthony Richo and was employed at Schmetz Lighting for 15 years. She then moved to Florida 20 years ago where she was office manager at Pasco County Hospice for 8 years. After retiring, she was a active volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Society. She is survived by her children, AnnaMarie DeStefano of Hamden, Mrs. Jeffrey (Michelle) Green of Stratford, Mrs. Todd (Loree) White, West Haven, Anthony DeStefano of Hamden and Robert ( Patricia) DeStefano of East Haven brothers, Bernard (Sandra) Richo and Edward (Donna) Richo, both of East Haven, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, David DeStefano. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass, Friday at 11 o'clock in Blessed Sacrament Church, Hamden. Interment private. There are no calling hours.
