Julian Scher, 75,  of Middletown and Hamden, died Nov. 15, 2016, at Hartford Hospital. Julian was born in Brooklyn, NY, Jan. 4, 1941, the son of the late Nathan and Rose Scher and lived most of his life in New Jersey,where he was an analytical chemist for the Oakite Corp. for 27 years, and the last 15 years in Conn. He enjoyed chess and playing the piano. He is survived Buy his sons, Jonathan (Angie) Scher of Hamden, Steven Scher of Richardson, TX and Matthew (Kathleen Kenealy) Scher of Wolburn, MA. a granddaughter Carina Scher and a sister Barbara Schneider of East Meadow,NY. Services were privately held.
