Josephine Papa, 87, of Tredwell St., Hamden, died at Conn Hospice, May 14, 2015. Josephine was born in New Haven, July 29, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Mary Ruggiero Papa, graduated from St. Agnes College in West Hartford and was past Secretary and Treasurer of St. Agnes Alumni Ass'n. She worked in St. Raphael Hospital Newborn Nursery prior to opening her own day care center in Hamden, retiring after 35 years. She is survived by two nephews, Richard (Heather) Papa and Michael (Michele) Papa, all from Orange, 4 grandnieces and 1 grand nephew. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Louis Richard Papa. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Infant Church, Orange, Saturday at 10 o'clock. Committal service will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Peter H.
