Josephine M. Goglia Ditta, 89, formerly of Welch St., Hamden, died peacefully at Conn. Hospice surrounded by her loving family, Aug. 3, 2010. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Ditta. Josephine was born in New Haven, Sept. 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Adam & Anna Fusco Goglia and resided in Hamden most of her life. She volunteered at the Thrift Shop at St. Raphael's Hospital for 15 years, was a member of the Hamden Women's Club and enjoyed cooking and baking for her loving family. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jamres (Karen) Scialabba of Guilford, sons, John (Susan) Ditta of Melborne, FL and David (Joann) Ditta of Hamden, sister, Ann Cipollini of Hamden and grandchildren, Matthew(Melissa), Jeffrey, Lindsey, KatieJo and Angelina. She was pre-deceased by siblings Marion Goglia, Lucy Agostini, Alfred and Adam Goglia. Funeral Thursday at 10:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Friends may call Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 A.M.
