Josephine M. Dolci D'Amico, 82, of Harrison Dr., Hamden, died May 17, 2014 at Arden House, surrounded by her devoted family. She was the widow of Fred D'Amico Sr. Josephine was born in New Haven, Dec. 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Mazza Dolci and resided in Hamden most of her life. In her youth, she played the accordian and was in an all girl traveling band. She enjoyed playing cards and cooking for her family. She is survived by her children, Donna Jo Altieri (Phillip) and Annette D'Amico, both of Cheshire, Fred (Betsy) D'Amico of Hamden, James D'Amico of Miami Lakes,FL, and Michael D'Amico of New Haven a sister, Rosemarie (Julius) Festa of Woodbridge, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
