Josephine Amore, 95 of Hamden died suddenly Sept. 23rd at Yale's St. Raphael Campus. She was the loving wife of the late Michael F. Amore. Born in New Haven daughter of the late Giovanni & Vincenza DiTallo Cermola, Josephine worked as a teacher in the Hamden School System. She loved to travel, and enjoyed gardening and taking long walks. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Ascension Church, a member of various church groups, and volunteered at St. Ann's Soup Kitchen. She is survived by a son Michael Amore of Hamden. She was predeceased by a brother Edward Cermola, and a sister Grace Romandetti. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service FRIDAY at 10:30 A.M. in the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Ave Hamden. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 8:30 - 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence cemetery.
