Joseph Russello, 94 of Hamden died June 20th at Whitney Manor after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of the late Beverly Johnson Russello. Born in West Haven, son of the late Vincent & Maria Biondillo Russello, Joe worked as a Mason with the United Bricklayers Union, Local 6. He was married to his wife for 60 years. They were inseparable and enjoyed looking for "hidden treasures" at flea markets and local goodwill stores. He loved gardening and took great pride in his homes' landscaping. He is survived by a daughter Diane Russello Goldschmidt, grandchildren Jenna & Jeremia Goldschmidt, and a nephew Carl (MaryAnn) Saviello. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by brothers Frank (Rae) Russello, and Jerry (Elsie) Russello, sisters Antonette (Joe) Lumia, Carmel (Michael) Greco, Josephine (Victor) Covari, Rose (Alphonse) Saviello, and Angelina (Joseph) Mut. At Joe's request, services and entombment will be privately held at All Saints Mausoleum. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in Joe's name. A special thanks to his nephew Carl for all his help over the years, his caretaker Jennifer, and the entire staff at Whitney Manor.
