Joseph E. Parolise, Sr. 89, of Hamden, died at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Jan. 25, 2017, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Carmela "Helen" D'Agostino Parolise. Joe was born in New Haven, June 20, 1927, the son of the late Frank and Theresa Bolandelli Parolise and had resided in North Haven for 40 years, where he was an active communicant of St. Therese Church, prior to moving to Hamden 14 years ago. He was employed at M & B Electronics for 15 years and at Harco Lab for 5 years prior to retirement. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was an Army Veteran of WWII, very proud of his heritage and enjoyed watching the N Y Yankees. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Louis) Borrelli of Hamden and Joseph (Jennifer) Parolise, Jr. of Branford and grandchildren, Gregory & Jaclyn Borrelli, Justine, Jolee, John and Joseph Parolise and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his siblings, Frances Amos, Louise Mericle, Rae DeSanti Frumento, Frank and Antoinette Parolise. Funeral Monday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 7 PM.
