Joseph Arnold Palmieri, 95, formerly of Judwin Ave., New Haven,died June 9, 2010. He was the husband of the late Josephine Cardillo Palmieri, father of Theresa (Benjamin) Raccio of Hamden and Arnold (Joanne) Palmieri of North Branford, brother of Angelina (Jack) Davis of CO, brother in law of Mario (Betty) Cardillo, sister in law of Gloria Cardillo, grandfather of Janice (Bob) DeAngelo, Joseph (Dawn) Raccio, Paul (Beth) Raccio, Tony Palmieri & Maria & Kevin Berte, and 8 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by siblings, Madeline Zullo, George, Nicholas and Marco Palmieri. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joe operated the P & C Auto Repair Shop for several years and later was a foremen at Hamden Steel Co. He was an active member of St. Aedan's Church and the Westville Senor Center and will be missed by all. A special thanks to all at Orange Health Care for the wonderful care he received. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Rita's Church Saturday at 9 o'clock for a Mass of Christian Burial and may call at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
