Joseph Giglio, 95, formerly of Maryknoll Rd. Hamden, died at Quin. Valley Rehab, Wallingford, June 29, 2017 after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Mary Durso Giglio. Joe was born in New Haven, Feb. 10, 1922, the son of the late  Simone and Girolana Giglio and resided in Hamden most of his life. He was a quality control supervisor for the Mite Corp for 35 years and was a U S Marine during WWII, adjutant for the DAV, a member of the American Legion, Post 150 and was registrar of Voters for the Town of Hamden. He is survived by his children, Marguerite "Meg" Giglio, (Richard Reay) of Ansonia and Francis M. (Diane) Giglio of Wlfg. a sister, Rita DiChello of East Haven a sister in law Phylis DeMarco (Louis) NV and grandchildren, Lauren (Kevin) Grady and David (Linda) Giglio. He was pre-deceased by his siblings Michael, Philip, Frank, Tony, Josephine Giglio and Antoinette Reccio. Funeral Monday at 11 oclock from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Christ the Bread of Life Church (Blessed Sacrament) at 11:30 Interment with military honors in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
