Joseph "Little Joe" Giangrande, 54, of Hamden, died Sept. 28, 2016 at CT Hospice after a brief illness. Joe was born in New Haven, Nov. 30, 1961, son of the late Joseph and Ethel Johnson Giangrande and resided in Hamden all of his life.  He was employed at Fedex for the last 10 years prior to his illness. He also worked for Jimmies of Hamden as chef for several years and enjoyed fishing. Little Joe was well known and well received wherever he went.

He is survived by his children, Amanda Giangrande and Joseph F. Giangrande III(Jessica), both of Naugatuck, Alyssa Giangrande and Frederick Giangrande, both of Hamden, brother of Sandra Miller(James)and Amy Lee(Darin), both of Hamden.

A prayer service will be held Tuesday, at 5:30 P.M. in  the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Tuesday from 3 to 6 P.M. Interment private.
