Joseph R. Alfano, 62, of W. Meadow Rd., Hamden, died at Smilow Center, June 20, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Sandra Mariano Alfano. Joe was born in Waterbury, Dec. 2, 1951, the son of the late Frank and Beatrice Pace Alfano and had resided in Hamden the last 35 years. He was a quality control inspector for Precision Metal Products of Milford for the last 10 years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed gardening and was a dog lover. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus. Beside his wife he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Alfano of Boston, a son Christopher Alfano and his fiancée, Amanda Plant, of Milford and two sisters, Mary Ann Perri and Beatrice Rowland, both of Waterbury. His funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Joan of Arc Church at 10 o'clock. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
