Obituary

John "Jack" Miller, 82, of Hamden ,died Jan. 5, 2016 at the Masonic Care Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Mary Hargaden Miller. Jack was born in New Haven, Nov. 19, 1933, the son of the late Leslie and Mary Cleary Miller and had resided in Hamden the last 48 years. He was a printer for over 30 years having worked at the New Haven Register and Wilson Lee Co. He was a member of the Second Company, Governors Horse Guard for 10 years and a member of the Waucoma Yacht Club and the Branford Yacht Club and enjoyed boating and being on the water. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Beside his wife, he is survived by a son, Peter Miller of Hamden, a brother Thomas Miller of Mont. and a sister, Mrs. Allan (Eileen) Turner of Stonington and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers, Charles and Edward Miller. Friends are invited to go directly to St. John the Baptist Church, Saturday at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be made to St. Francis School, Alumni Fund, 423 Ferry St., New Haven, Ct. 06513 or St. John the Baptist Church, 782 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, Ct. 06511
