John R Cimo,63, a resident of Hamden for most of his life, passed away suddenly on March 25, 2014. John was the son of the late Guy and Mary Pasquale Cimo of Hamden. John leaves behind his devoted sister Margaret Cimo Palmieri of Branford, his half sister Josephine Pasquarella of Rochester, New York and his former wife Georgianna Hull of North Haven, CT. He was the good friend of Dee White Hall. He was the beloved and adored uncle of William L. (Suzanne) Palmieri III of North Branford and Amanda (Charles) Palmieri Linski of St. Louis, MO. John is also survived by his great nieces Rosemary, Theresa and Grace Palmieri and great nephew Charles William Linski. John, who voluntarily served two tours of duty with the United States Army, was a sergeant in the 2nd Infantry Division and was a member of the elite Imjin Scouts. After his military service John worked as a Teamster associated with Local 443. John will be remembered for his deep love of family, his kind and sensitive soul and his amazing sense of humor. Friends are asked to go directly to St Ann's Church, 930 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06514 for a mass of Christian burial on TUESDAY at 10 A.M.. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
