J oanne Colonna Wisnewski, 70, of Madison, died at Yale New Haven, May 10, 2018 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Robert Wisnewski. Joanne was born in New Haven, June 30, 1947, the daughter of the late Leonard and Angie DeLizio Colonna and was raised in the Highwood section of Hamden, where she was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for over 20 years, retiring in 2007.. She was a loving wife and mother and adored her grandchildren.  Beside her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Ann Cosma ( husband Chris) of Suffield, and grandchildren, Alex and Robert Cosma. She was pre-deceased by a son, Robert Wisnewski. Friends may call at the Peter H.Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, Saturday from 4 to 7 PM.
