Joan (Giovanna Pellico) Inzero of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29th, at the age of 94 at the Masonicare Center in Wallingford, CT. Joan's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service to her family and others. She graduated from Larson College and Quinnipiac University with an AS in Science, then applied her knowledge and skills alongside her husband in their family business as a partner and chief operating officer. Joan was born in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late John and Helen (Lucibello) Pellico of Hamden, CT, and the sister of the late Andrew and Robert Pellico. She grew up in a close-knit Italian family where strong values of faith, hard work, and compassion were instilled early and remained central throughout her life. She was married to the late Peter James Inzero for 60 years. She is survived by her children Peter M. Inzero, Ellen (Paul) DeFrancesco, and Mark J. (Cheryl) Inzero. Joan was a devoted and loving grandmother to Nicole (Richard) Vischinsky, Nina (Mathew) Gervais, Keith J. Inzero, the late Christopher Inzero, Amy L. Inzero, and Sarah DeFrancesco. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Josiphine and Oliver Gervais and Ivan Vishiniy. Calling hours will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 pm in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. ( www.stjude.org )
