Joan Kline Gurecki, 82, of Meriden died peacefully Oct. 21, 2010. She was the widow of Anthony Gurecki. Daughter of the late William & Sophia Kline, she retired from Pulaski Elementary School after 30 years of teaching. Joan enjoyed reading and writing poetry, with some work being published in the Record-Journal. She is survived by Grandchildren, Victoria Higginson Scontras of Florida, Sarah Higginson of Thomaston, and Nathan Baska of Meriden. She was predeceased by three sons, Jeffery, Jonathan, and William Higginson. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden for a mass of christian burial on WEDNESDAY October 27th at 10 A.M.
