Joan DeDomenic Bretton, 76, formerly of Hamden, died Dec. 18, 2018 at Abbot Terrace HC, Waterbury, after a long illness. Joan was born in New Haven, Feb. 1, 1942, the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret DeLizio  DeDomenic and was raised in Highwood. She graduated from the University of New Haven and  was a supervisor at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years.  She was a renown violinist throughout the State of Connecticut. She is survived by a daughter, Marla (Matthew) Kane of West Hartford, grandchildren, Rory and Kendra Kane, an aunt, Josephine Vitolo of FL and several cousins. Friends are invited to go directly to Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Ave., Hamden, Friday at 10 0'clock, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden.
