Jeannette N. Tassmer (Taber) 8/3/1941-12/25/2025 of Meriden (formally of Hamden) passed away suddenly in her home. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Stuart A. Tassmer and Mother to the late Toby N. Tassmer as well as her brother the late David Taber. Survived by Son Timothy Tassmer (Alexia) of Wallingford and Sister Gladys Sanca of Hamden, and Sister-in-law Barbara Moncevicius (Ray) of Meriden, Grandchildren Natasha Sousa (Mario) Veronica Tassmer and Karly Tassmer-Dady (Michael) along with 2 Nieces, 5 Nephews 11 great grandchildren and many “Chosen Family” whom she loved. Jeannette Graduated Hamden High School class of 1959 (Go Dragons) and went right to work at the phone company and eventually to the front desk at the late Dr. Cervoni’s Dentist’s office. While raising a family she settled into long-term employment at The Arden House of Hamden. From 1974 until her retirement in 2010, she truly enjoyed the friendships she made “on the job” and held onto those friendships as long a physically possible. Spending time at Hidden Lake, Sharing and Reading Novels as well as solving crossword puzzles were her passions. An awesome neighborhood Mom, the door was always open if you needed one. The folks on Pearl Avenue would always be welcome into the home of Stu and Jeannette anytime. The move to Liberty Street was a natural adjustment. Family and friends would visit often to enjoy the hospitality of Gramma-Jeannette where cookies and coffee was always in stock. Barb, Ray, and Jenna really looked out for Jeannette, welcoming her and assisting her in any way possible. The love and devotion shown there speaks volumes about Moncevicius Family values. Thank you!
