James L. Cacace III, 55, of Bishop St., North Haven, died April 15, 2017 at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Sheri Matican Cacace. Jim was born in New Haven, Jan. 7, 1962, son of Annmarie Mauro Cacace of North Haven and the late James L. Cacace Jr, grew up in Woodbridge and resided in North Haven the last 13 years. He was a graduate of the Gemological Inst. of America in New York City and operated the Marquis Jewelry Store in Hamden. He enjoyed fishing, playing soft ball, his Harley and most of all his dog Buster. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Jamie Cacace of No. Haven, and Alyssa Ryan (Edward) of Wlfg., sisters, Bernadette Niedermeier of Killingworth and Vincia Caruso of Hamden, grandchildren, Kayden Goss, AvaJean Ryan and Alivia Ryan, brothers in law, Neil(Susan)Matican of Hamden, and Gary Matican of Cheshire, uncle of Jennifer, Jeremy, Katie, Michael, Rachel, Pamela, Matthew, Steven, Brittany and Catrina. Funeral Thursday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 o'clock. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
