Jacob "Jake" Nietopski, 41, of Hamden, formerly of Buffalo, N.Y. passed away following a brief hospitalization at Yale New Haven Hospital on September 1, 2024. Although Jake spent the last 10 years living in Connecticut, his true home was always Buffalo, New York. He was a lifelong caretaker, with a long history of working in healthcare and with the developmentally disabled community. Jake loved hockey, comedy, loud music of all genres, and cooking amazing food for family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Angela Nietopski (nee Koeth), their pets, Puck, Misha, and Reno, and his father, John Nietopski. He was predeceased by his mother Patricia Nietopski. Jake will also be missed by his many friends and coworkers. A wake will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 3-7pm at Pacer Funeral Home, 2275 George Urban Blvd, Depew, NY 14043. Please feel free to wear your favorite Sabres gear in Jake's honor. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 10am, also at Pacer Funeral Home.
