Irene Mattie, of Hamden, died February 5, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Irene was born in New Haven the daughter of the late Ellie and Carmel Ruggiero Mattie and was a dental assistant for several area dentists for over 20 years. She was pre-deceased by her brother, John Mattie and survived by his wife, Mary Mattie and many cousins and friends. Interment in St. Lawrence was privately held.
