Harold Kern Froehlich, age 90 of Hamden, passed away April 7, 2024 at St. Raphael Hospital with family by his side. Beloved husband of 37 years of Frances Froehlich. Harry was born February 8, 1934 in New Haven. Son of the late William K. and Marie Froehlich. Harry grew up in West Haven before making his home in Hamden. A truck driver by trade, Harry worked 25 years for Furniture Transport of Milford, and then 20 years as an owner/operator at Furniture Freight Way of North Haven. Harry had a love for children, animals, lottery tickets, and his trips to the casino. In addition to his loving wife, Frances, Harry is survived by daughters Carolyn O'Connor (Dennis) Northford, Jo-Ann Fitzgerald (Ed) Southbury, Victoria Murphy (Marty) Hamden, and a son, Harold K. Froehlich Jr. (Lynn) Hamden. Additionally, he is survived by a brother Donald Froehlich (Eleanor) of West Haven, and his step children James Ziegler (Jackie) of Hamden and Sharon Hoffman (Paul) of South Carolina. Harry will be fondly remembered by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his first wife, Victoria Froehlich, his grandson Sean K. Froehlich, his sister Adeline Buenger, and brothers William and George Froehlich. Per Harry's wishes internment will be private.
