Gloria Mary Scalesse, 88, of Concord, NC, formerly of Cheshire, passed away Dec. 10th at her home. She was the wife of the late Anthony Scalesse Sr. Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Paul & Elizabeth Damato Civitello, she had been retired for many years. Gloria was an avid bird watcher and animal lover. Amongst her family and friends, she was renowned for baking cookies. She is the mother of Anthony Scalesse Jr (Dolores) of NC, Sally Ann Taroli (William) of Cheshire, and Barbara Ackerson (Albert) of Clinton. Grandmother of Anthony Scalesse III (Crystal), Steven Scalesse (Rachael), Kristin Marie Olear (Nick), and Marisa Ann Taroli (Eric), great grandmother of Reid William, Anthony IV, Jaedon, Jecyra, & Rosie. Sister of Patricia Milardo, Josephine Bradley, John Civitello and the late Anthony, Domenic & Joseph Civitello, Ann Jenkins, Paula Purificato, Mary Albe, Doris Roman, Sue Bello, Rose Coppola, and Angela Donato. She also has many nieces, nephews, & special nieces and nephews in Dallas, TX. Friends are invited to go directly to Blessed Sacrament Church FRIDAY at 10 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment is private.
