Gloria B. Corso, 98 formerly of Hamden, died July 12th in Durham N.C after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Pasquale "Pat" Corso. Born in West Haven, daughter of the late Pietro & Jennie Paesano Bellucci, Gloria worked as a para-professional at Dunbar Hill School. Prior to her teaching, she worked at SNET for 14 years. She was a member of the Hamden Women's Club and enjoyed knitting. She would volunteer making prayer shawls & baby hats for St. Raphael's Hospital. During her time in California, she was an active member of the Brazilian Embroidery Group in Murrietta. She is survived by sons Bruce (Cindy) Corso of Virginia, and Martin Corso of CA., a daughter Carol Miller of Branford, grandchildren Pamela (Joshua)  Miller Means, Daphne Corso, and 4 others, and great grandchildren Jackson Means, Ayden Means, and Karin Means. She was predeceased by a brother Peter Zona, sisters Louise Amatruda, and Margaret Andreadis. Calling hours will be held Monday July 20th from 8 - 10am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
