Gerarco "Jerry" Ragaini, 70, of240 Shepard Ave., Hamden, formerly of Douglas Dr, Hamden, died July 18, 2015 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria Ricciteli Ragaini. Jerry was born in Germany, Nov. 6, 1944, the son of the late Eufisio and Miranda Fabri Ragaini and came to the US in 1964, residing in Hamden. He founded and operated Jerry Fuel since 1971. Spending quality time with his family was the most important thing to Jerry. He enjoyed all family holidays with them, especially Christmas Eve. He also enjoyed vacationing in the Bahamas, playing cards, and watching Formula 1 auto racing. He also was a member of the Marchegiano Club for many years. In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his devoted children, Paolo (Karen) Ragaini of Tampa, FL., Gianni (Josanna) Ragaini of East Haven, Tina (Anthony) Pace of Bfd., and Briana Ragaini of Hamden, grandchildren, Nico, Isabella, Taya, and Matteo, brother in law Dante Tomassini and nephew Danny Tomassini, many sisters in law, brothers in law, and nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Sonia Tomassini. The family would like a special thank you to sister in law Filomena Riccitelli, The Smilow Thoracic Oncology staff, and all the nurses from Conn. Hospice. Funeral Tuesday at 10:15am from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home,1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Joan of Arc Church at 11 o'clock.
