George Lee Cimino, 65, of 140 Tredwell St., Hamden, died July 22, 2014, at the West Haven VA Medical Center after a long illness. George was bon in Louisville, KY, Jan. 5, 1949,the son of John Cimino of Meriden and the late Grace Hibb Cimino and had resided in Hamden most of his life. He was a shipping clerk for several local manufacturing companies prior to his illness. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Beside his father, he is survived by sons, George Cimino Jr. of Baker, FL. and Charles Cimino of Euless, TX. a sister, Gayle Cimino of Hamden and grandchildren, Anthony, Ian, Tina, Nate and Caitlin. He was pre-deceased by brother John Cimino. Friends are invited to a graveside service, Saturday at 10:30 A.M. in the State Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Middletown, Ct. and may call at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave.. Hamden, on Friday from 5 to 7 P.M.
