Honey (Frances) Landino Vessichio, 97 of New Haven - daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother - died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 11, 2023. She was a woman who loved well and was well loved by all who knew her. There was always a chair at her kitchen table for those who sought the warm comfort only she could provide. She was fiercely devoted to her family and touched the lives of many. People were drawn to her youthful spirit, kindness of heart, striking neon pink hair, and the smell of her meatballs sizzling on a Sunday afternoon. Born May 25, 1926 to the late Louis and Julia Landino, she was the youngest of fourteen children. She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony H. Vessichio. She is survived by her children Dorisann Piscopo, MaryJane Vessichio, Joan (Thomas) Villano, Anthony Vessichio, and Nancy Barbosa; her six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She also loved and adored Sam Piscopo and Alan Barbosa. There will be a private ceremony for immediate family only.
