Frances "Franny" Farquhar, 93 of Hamden passed away peacefully August 25th at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Frances was born in New Haven, October 27, 1930, daughter of the late Michael & Angelina Lovacario Nuzzi. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years, John Farquhar; her son, Robert Farquhar; her sister, Catherine Nicholas; and her brothers Carl Nuzzi and John Nuzzi. Frances is survived by her children, John Farquhar, Kathleen Farquhar, and Lisa Farquhar; and her granddaughter, Melissa Markleski, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. Frances will be missed by many other family members and friends who will never forget her caring heart, witty sense of humor, and spunky personality. To know her was to love her.    Calling hours will be held Thursday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. A parlor service will be held at 10:30 am in the same location, interment will follow in Centerville cemetery.
