Obituary
Mrs. Fortunata "Frutie" Santoro Palmieri died peacefully in Hamden, CT on November 27, 2015 at the
age of 95.
Fortunata is survived by her daughter Joanne Faughnan and son-in-law Paul Faughnan of Orange,
CT, grandchildren, Paul Faughnan, Jr.(East Hampton, CT)and Alyssa Faughnan(Norwalk,CT)as
well as her brother Michael Santoro(Rosemary)of North Port, FL.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: Ralph Santoro, Jr., Ann Leonardo and Rose Brancati.
Frutie was born on June 20, 1920 in New Haven, CT to Ralph and Letizia Briganti Santoro. She married Peter
Palmieri, an operating engineer at Fusco Corp in 1946. She is remembered as a kind, gentle and
patient woman whose smile welcomed everyone. She was an active and dedicated member of the
Blessed Sacrament Church.
Interment is scheduled for 11:00 AM on December 5, 2015 at All Saints Cemetery in North
Haven, CT. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Fortunata"Frutie"Santoro Palmieri's life. In lieu
