One more star¦I have the feeling theres one more star up in the sky tonight. Even though its far away, its brightness and warmth still reach us here to make the night a little less dark.
Manny Ramos, age 37, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born in New Haven on October 22, 1980.
He is survived by his parents, Gloria and Emanuel F. Ramos and his brother, Michael Ramos. In addition, he leaves behind his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that live in CT, Ny, Virginia and florida, England and Portugal. His deceased. loving grandparents were arnaldo/maria ramos and Harold/blanche Bristol and uncle art ramos.
Manny lived in Hamden his whole life and attended Hamden Public Schools and graduated from Hamden High School. He is a 2004 graduate of Eastern CT State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. During his college years he participated in the study abroad program and attended college in London, England for two semesters. While overseas he enjoyed meeting new friends and traveling around Europe.
He loved the family dogs; Daisy and fun-loving rex. His interests include his love of his family, nature, music, technology, travel, studying history and the bible and Jesus. He was a kind soul and a genuine person. Spiritual in nature. During his college years he participated in electronic music ensemble and art shows and various clubs. Past work history includes many summer seasons as a camp counselor at holiday hill day camp, study abroad coordinator (ECSU), graphic design at advisor newspaper, music promotion, production assistant and various college internships.
We wish to thank all the search efforts of NHPD and Hamden PD, Firefighters and ambulance staff on standby. the search assistance from staff of NH Parks Dept. and the NY helicopter search efforts. Special thanks to Paul DAndrea of NHPD for finding our Manny and giving the family closure. In addition, the caring nurses from VNA south central, support from continuum of care of new haven (WISE Program) and care from Yale behavioral of Hamden.
Dad and I and mike are going to miss you greatly; you were our special son, we will never forget you. We will reunite with you one day. Thank you lord for giving us manny. Love you forever, mom and dad and your bro Mike.
On Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. The Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home will have its Forty-ninth Annual Memorial Mass, celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT in memory of Manny and family and deceased members of all the other families whom Torello Funeral Home served in the past forty-nine years. Please join us at this memorial service at Blessed Sacrament Church to honor Manny Ramos. On Saturday, November 25th at 10:30 a.m.
