Edwin J. Kaufman, 97, of 111 Maryknoll Dr., Hamden, died peacefully at his home, March 25, 2011. He was the widower of Elizabeth D'Anello Kaufman. Ed was born in New Haven, Jan. 23, 1914, the son of the late Michael and Dora Josephs Kaufman and was an electrical engineer, owning and operating Industrial Laboratories, until his retirement. He was the father of Ralph Kaufman of Guilford and Robert Kaufman of Boston and uncle to Emily Walker and Piper Petrie. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Mildred Wiener and a brother, Murray Kaufman. Private services were held in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
